Mamadi Diakite has played in three games for the San Antonio Spurs this season and averaged 4.0 points and 1.0 rebounds per contest.
Earlier this month, he was waived by the Spurs, and he has most recently been playing in the G League for the Westchester Knicks.
On Thursday, the New York Knicks announced that they had signed Diakite to a 10-day contract.

Diakite has spent a lot of time in the G League this season, appearing in 16 Showcase Cup Games and 18 regular season games.

He has played part of three seasons in the NBA for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Milwaukee Bucks, Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs.
His career averages are 3.3 points and 2.4 rebounds per contest while shooting 48.6% from the field and 23.5% from the three-point range in 52 regular season games.
The 27-year-old has also appeared in seven playoff games and was with the Bucks when they won the 2021 NBA Championship over the Phoenix Suns.

As for the Knicks, they are the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 38-27 record in 65 games.
They have gone 5-5 over their last ten games and most recently beat the Philadelphia 76ers by a score of 106-79.
On Thursday evening, they will play the Portland Trail Blazers in Oregon.

Last season, the Knicks lost to the Miami Heat in the second round of the NBA playoffs.
