NFL Draft bets: Rams trying to move into top 10 for pass-catcher?

The rumor of the afternoon as we sit mere hours away from the first round is that the Los Angeles Rams are attempting to move into the top-10, with their eyes on a pass-catcher.

Dianna Russini reports the Rams are pursuing a move up the board from their current slot of 19th. For weeks, some rumors have suggested Los Angeles could be interested in a guy like Bo Nix to understudy for Matthew Stafford, but this would suggest there's another direction that could be imminent.

Bets to consider off this news

Keep in mind these odds may soon be outdated and are already on the move, but you can currently grab the position of the Rams first pick to be a wide receiver at +500 on FanDuel and a tight end at +1100.

If tight end, it's going to be Georgia's Brock Bowers, who is a +650 to be selected by the Rams on DraftKings, suggesting some intriguing value on FD. Just an hour ago, he was +1400, so you can see how quickly reports like this shake up the betting markets.

If not Bowers, the logical target would seem to be Rome Odunze or Malik Nabers, with Odunze more likely to be the guy should the Rams move up to say eight or nine.

The "top 10" could be an important distinction here, as it has long been assumed that the New York Jets would jump on Brock Bowers at No. 10. Well, if the Rams want Bowers and know the Jets are interested, trading up to No. 9 with Chicago would be the move to make.

Already, tight end is falling as New York's first drafted position. A week ago, TE was the favorite at +120. It now sits at +200, with offensive line at -115 the current betting favorite on DraftKings.

There seems to be legitimate smoke to this Rams report. As with anything, treat these rumors carefully and don't go crazy, but a bet on the Rams to take a WR or TE at +500 and +1100 seems worth a small investment to us.
